Newborn baby RP in Qatar

Hi, I am here to provide you a detailed step by step
description to get your baby's RP in least time consuming and least cumbersome
way. Most sites and blocks give out only details in bits and pieces. So here it
is.
Step
1 – Birth Certificate
§ 24 hours after birth –
Collect the Newborn Baby Notification and Vaccination book from the place of birth
(Hamad Medical Corporation).

Visit any of the these
centers to apply –
§
You can fill up the form at
the center and carry the required Documents –
§ Birth certificate will be issued in an hour, 20 QAR for
additional copies(English and Arabic)

Step 2 – Passport (For Indian Nationality)
- § Photograph of baby - 55*55mm white background (blue background for RP)
- § Fill up the online Passport application form - http://passport.gov.in/nri/Online
- § Documents to be taken (only at Main Indian Embassy)

Step 3 – Document Preparation
Scenario - My wife was the sponsor for my kid
(husband and wife different Sponsor)
ü Passport copies of husband and wife
ü Qatar ID copies of husband and wife
ü NOC from mother’s company(Arabic)
ü NOC from Father (Arabic)
ü Salary Statement from father’s Company(Arabic)
ü Arabic translated document – of the attested copy of father and
mothers educational degree
ü Arabic translated document – of the attested copy of father and
mothers Marriage Certificate
ü Rental Contract – Baladiya attested
ü 6 month bank statement of father and mother - mention to bank representative that its for
immigration
ü Birth Certificate copy of baby
ü Passport copy of baby
ü Family Visa Application form
- Mention clearly to the typing center person who will be the sponsor of
the child
ü Blue background Photograph
It’s preferable to get as many
documents ready in the last month of pregnancy to avoid delay in the process; esp.
the attested copy of degree and marriage certificate.
Step 4 – Visit to Gharaffa Immigration Office
Check
all your documents and take it the Gate 3 at the Gharaffa Immigration Office
(07:30 am to 12:30 pm and 03:00pm to 06:00pm). They will check all documents,
if in order the will provide you a receipt.
Check the visa application status under visit visa in MOI website. Once approved
(3 days) it will show “READY TO PRINT”.
Step 5 – Revisit Gharaffa Immigration Office
Go
to gate 1. Show them the receipt, they charge QAR 200 and provide a fresh
receipt. Here mention that baby was born in Qatar. They will direct you to the
manager, he\she will provide another receipt.
Proceed to gate 2, carry baby
passport, photograph and father/mother RP. Pay the fee of QAR 500(for one
year).
Collect the RP at the same counter
in 5 minutes.
